ORION PRESS' fanzine which focuses on Jean-Luc Picard, Captain of the Enterprise. This Human-interest / romance / relationship publication includes drama, hurt-comfort, the dalliance, of our favorite starship captain. Stories in INVOLUTION can range from G to R, however, no age statement is required.

INVOLUTION 2 features

This time around we have three rather large stories and two vignettes that feature our dynamic duo embroiled in danger, intrigue, fun-and-games and, yes, romance.

We lead off with "R&R" by Lynn Lorton. Picard and Crusher are joined by Riker and Troi for a little fun and relaxation -- but you know that when you get a certain captain and a certain redhaired doctor together, the sparks are bound to fly

D.J. Nicholson, a new writer to Involution, contributes a wonderful story, "...And One To Grow On," that looks at why Picard might have failed his Academy entrance exam the first time around. An astute groundskeeper makes an appearance, and we hear some down-to-Earth advice to a very forlorn and confused young man.

Tanya Chang provides the darker side to this issue (now you know I have to have a little bitter with the sweet!) with her long story, "Nightshade." Its seems that Q and Vash decide to test the captain on whether he can truly love another human being or not, and Crusher is the obvious choice for this little experiment. Stranded together on a strange world, they explore their feelings both for each other and for someone who can only be a loving memory now.

Brenda Shaffer writes a beautiful little story about a new 'woman' in Picard's life, "Desiree." I think you will find this story provides a very nice addendum to Tanya's story.

Our final story by Anne Davenport, "Wrong Place, Wrong Dimension," lets us have some fun with a certain irate Klingon and a wacky group of aliens. It seems that Picard and Crusher managed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, and now it's up to our intrepid crew and a very impatient Worf to get them back.
