TANTALUS 8
a Star Trek fanzine
edited by Ann Zewen

TANTALUS is the Orion Press fanzine focusing on the dark side of Star Trek, accenting themes of pain, death and sorrow in stories traditionally known as "hurt/comfort." The emphasis is on the deepest psychological and/or emotional depths of the characters and how they interact with each other.

This issue features:

"Not Light But Warmth," written by Lynn Syck and Mary Rottler. The Enterprise has arrived at Babel, and McCoy has done his medical magic. Sarek will live, as will Kirk, and all's right with their world. Or is it? Can a Vulcan first officer live with the fact that his captain risked life and his ship just so he could save his father's life? Can that captain live without his friend by his side?

Additional fiction by Holly Trueblood, Thomasson, Curtis, Seward. Plus poetry by Ridener and Syck. Cover artwork by BEKi and interior artwork by Myers, O'Quinn and Steele.

200 pages with a color cover by Joseph Melvin.
